I. List of After
school teacher duties:
1. Organize
and lead after school games and activities.
2. Help
children with homework.
3. Communicate
closely with parents, and respond to children's needs at age appropriate level.
4. Encourages
students' positive self image and supports individuality, and independence.
5. Maintains
a safe, clean and healthy environment and follows Company and state licensing
standards.
6. Ensures
that hazardous objects are out of reach of children.
7. Manages
classroom behavior by providing established rules and limits.
8. Initiates
and models positive interactions in the classroom and on the playground.
9. Communicates
parental concerns, issues and progress to the school Principal and supervisory
teacher.
10. Responsible
for maintaining compliance with school programs and licensing regulations
11. Greets
parents upon pick up and communicate student progress with parents.
II. List of After
school teacher qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Complies with all state education and licensing standards to work in a licensed preschool, and maintains validation of credentials for the position (i.e. professional development).
- One year experience working with young children; Early Childhood Education Teacher, in a licensed preschool or similar preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
