teacher duties:
- Provide for the health and safety of the children at all times.
- Display the knowledge and skills regarding effective child management
- Display a growing knowledge and skills regarding the implementation of developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood education.
- Assist in ensuring that the Child Development Center meets state licensing regulations.
- Assist in maintaining parent involvement in the Center.
- Meet all state licensing requirements for employment in a licensed child care facility.
- Engages, takes responsibility for self-and team-functioning, and contributes to an upbeat, positive work environment.

teacher qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Liberal Arts, or some college hours in child development and experience working with young children in a group setting, preferred.
- Ability to initiate involvement in the daily routine with children and parents.
- Ability to effectively respond to the needs of young children.
- Demonstrated social and language skills for interacting and communicating with a variety of people: children, parents, elderly and general public.
- Ability to learn and implement early childhood education.
- Ability to follow policy and procedures of the Child Development Center.
- Ability to work independently and interdependently: display a kind, courteous attitude, and work in a team-oriented setting with children, parents, residents, staff and others.
