I. Key qualifications/requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in Education or related discipline (i.e. Social Science, English/Language Arts, Humanities, Math, Science).
2. Minimum  2 years in a self contained classroom preferred
3. MUST be State certified in BOTH ELA & Social Studies and deemed Highly Qualified by the Department of Education.
4. MUST demonstrate competency in all areas of content responsibility and be computer literate.
5. MUST have experience working with youth in an urban/inner city.
6. Preference will be given to those with a proven track record of academic improvement supported by recent data.
