I. List of Esl
teacher duties:
- Responsible for planning, developing and implanting various instructional experiences through creativity and resourcefulness which lends to the educational growth and development of targeted students.
- Responsible for effective classroom presentation techniques and reviewing, correcting and reinforcing instructional lessons to enhance the learning and retention process.
- Responsible for techniques of testing/ conformation of level accomplishment.
- Responsible for effective techniques of classroom management/ discipline and behavior reinforcement.
- Responsible for demonstrating effective techniques to gain cognitive development.
- Responsible for identification and referral procedures for students requiring Special Education.
- Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.
- Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
II. List of Esl
teacher qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Massachusetts Licensure as an ESL (English as a Second Language)/Dual Licensure.
- Massachusetts Licensure in a content area
- Advanced educational preparation in the area of English as a Second Language methodology.
- Experience in the area of Bilingual / Bicultural education .
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.
- Ability to speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Albanian, Portuguese or an African language.
- Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition.
